Reading for specific information
Before you read the text, use background information to help you understand what the text is going to be about, who wrote it and why.
While you read the text the first time, try to understand the general meaning and think about the important information and where it is.
When answering the questions, try to remember where the different bits of information are in the text. Go back to the paragraph you think contains the
information you need and compare it with the question you are trying to answer.
