Little Whistle was the only live thing in Toytown.
He lived in a small cage at the back of the store. He was furry and brown,and all of the children who came to look at toys most loved looking at him.
But Little Whistle was always sleeping, so he did not look back.
Each night when Toytown closed and the shades were drawn and all the children gone, Little Whistle woke up. Then he climbed out of his cage, put on his blue pea coat, and began a new adventure.
小口哨是玩具城唯一的活物。
他住在商店后面的一个小笼子里。 他毛茸茸的，棕色的，所有来看玩具的孩子都最喜欢看他。
但小哨子一直在睡觉，所以他没有回头。
