A family of monsters
lives right up the street.
They're not bad-
once you know them,
they're really quite sweet.
Although they look different
they're like you and me,
but they live in a prickly
Monsterbush tree.
The mother is Gretchen;
you'd think she'd be scary.
She looks like a polka dot turnip
that's hairy.
Her three eyes are
sky blue, lime green, and Mars red.
(The red one's the one on the back of her head.)
